Karachi – National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Aman Foundation signed a MoUwhich entails sponsoring an ambulance of Aman Foundation for five years. This ambulance will be operated in Gulberg Area, district central Karachi. The MoU was signed by Mr. OvaisAsad Khan, EVP/ Head Strategic Marketing Division and Mr. ArshadSaeedHussain, CEO Aman Foundation.
While speaking at the event, Mr. OvaisAsad Khan said, “It is our duty to support organizations that are playing a significant role and bringing positive change in people’s lives. NBP is committed to support organizations through contributions and donations for charitable, social, educational and public welfare purposes. NBP takes great pride in its CSR initiatives, and extends its support to all areas of social welfare.”
CEO, Aman Foundation, ArshadSaeedHussain thanked NBP for providing the ambulance and applauded the role of NBP in fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility. He further said that Aman Foundation is serving people by offering a number of facilities, in addition to its state of the art ambulance service.
The President of National Bank of Pakistan Mr. SaeedAhmad, had also sanctioned 10 rickshaw vehicles on request of Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani MNA, patron in chief Pakistan Hindu Council to facilitate opportunity of employment to the people of Thar. This arrangement enabled the unemployed villagers to earn a living by transportation of children from Tharvillages to their schools in the city. It will make the life of the children easier and encourage them to pursue their education on a regular basis.The President said we owe it to all communities and localities to participate in their well being. He emphasized that it is no favor to anyone but performing our duties for the people being the bank of the nation.
National Bank of Pakistan has integrated Corporate Social Responsibility in its corporate philosophy. The categories include Community Development and Services, Sports and Recreational Activities, Best CSR services for the year 2017, Best Services in Health and Education, Cause Advocacy Awareness Campaign and Sports and Cultural Support.
